It had been a long day. But a good one. Ziggy was trying to figure out where Ben was Leaping to next, and Ian, too wound up to sleep, was looking over some of the code, hoping to find a way to make Ziggy run faster in general. Magic had ordered Addison to get some sleep. Then ordered Jenn to do the same, before following his own advice. Nothing was said about why Ian was too worked up to sleep. But then Magic didn't say anything about the fact that Ian had been in the imaging chamber either. It was wonderful having friends who understood. Especially when those friends are also your boss and could have had you fired and cut off from the project you gave your life to, but who understood you well enough to not.

More than friends.

Addy, Magic. Accomplices. Friends with skin in the game. Ben and Jenn too. Really, even with all the constant fear and stress and frustration... Ian had, in some ways never been happier. Because they were all so much closer than they had ever been. Well, except Ben. But they'd get Ben home. They would. And Ian would make sure they got to vet the DJ for their wedding...

"Huh, wonder if I could get Ben into gaming now that he's been through all this...." Ian mused to themself.
